The first ranking youth tournaments of the new season took place during the first weekend of September. As is tradition, players from all youth categories gathered in the capital city. Only the best could take home medals and trophies from Prague — and Jindra Morávek was among them.
On Sunday, July 22, the European Youth Championships concluded in Malmö, Sweden — and it couldn't have ended better for the Czech Republic. Havířov's own Hanka Kodetová successfully defended her singles title and once again stood on the top step of the podium.
The final battles for the national title this season are over. At the last domestic championship of the year, cadets and juniors competed in the team event. This traditional tournament has regularly seen our teams reach the podium, and this year was no different.
This past weekend, the Czech National U19 Championships took place in Most. Under the guidance of our coaches, we managed to win three valuable medals—unfortunately, none of them gold. The closest to claiming the title were Vít Kadlec and Jindřich Morávek, but they ultimately had to bow to their opponents.
The WTT Youth Contender is taking place at the NTC Havířov from May 27 to June 2, with players from all over the world competing. During the first half of the week, the girls' competitions were held, where we were represented by two players – Elen Galetková and Helena Sommerová.
