Jindřich Morávek Brings Home Gold from Prague
The first ranking youth tournaments of the new season took place during the first weekend of September. As is tradition, players from all youth categories gathered in the capital city. Only the best could take home medals and trophies from Prague — and Jindra Morávek was among them.

Jindra entered the U19 category as the number one seed, and he fully lived up to expectations with a stellar performance. He didn't drop a single set in the main draw and confidently claimed the first gold medal of this season's ranking tournaments. He defeated Martin Vaigl from HB Ostrov in the semifinals and Jakub Kabelka from KST Apollo Ústí nad Labem in the final.
Our newest member, Dmytro Opanasiuk, also managed a partial victory by winning the consolation bracket. It wasn't an easy path — he had to battle through two five-set matches on his way to the final. In the semifinal, he beat Vojtěch Jirout from Heřmanův Městec and in the final, he defeated Jakub Janošec from Havířov 3:1 in sets.
Other hopefuls from our team included Oliver Vincenec and Eliška Stramová. Unfortunately, neither of them advanced to the main draw and instead fought for points in the consolation rounds. Oliver was knocked out in the quarterfinals by the eventual finalist Jakub Janošec, while Eliška fell in the first round to Jana Tomášková from Sokol Hradec Králové.
The last member of our delegation was Elen Galetková, who competed in the U13 category. Elen achieved a partial success by making it into the main draw, but there she was unable to get past Bára Cupálková from TJ Fosfa Lvi, losing 0:3 in sets and exiting the tournament.
Our players will get another chance to fight for valuable points and trophies the first weekend of October, when the traditional Miloš Teichert Memorial takes place at our home venue on Varenská Street, alongside the Grand Prix of the City of Havířov.
