Losing streak broken at last

At long last, it finally happened. Our "B" team snapped a seemingly endless losing streak and claimed its first victory of the season in the Czech Men's Extraliga. The win came in the very final round of the regular season, as we faced SKST Liberec on our home tables. While the victory didn't impact our final standing, the joy was unmistakable—especially among the players themselves, who couldn't have hoped for a better season finale.

The biggest share of the success goes to Štěpán Brhel, who won both of his singles matches. He evened the score at 1:1 with a strong win over Michal Beneš, and later showed nerves of steel in the decisive match against Jakub Seibert.

As is often the case, the key match came in the third spot, where Samuel Palušek took on former team member Ondřej Květon. The two delivered a high-level contest full of long rallies and brilliant shots. In the end, it was Samuel who emerged victorious, sparking celebration among the home crowd.

Jindřich Morávek was unable to score this time, falling short of the form he showed in the previous round against Havířov, where he kept us in the game for much of the match.

This marks the end of the season for our B team. Unlike last year's squad, this iteration finishes at the bottom of the Extraliga table, in ninth place. However, due to the reduced number of teams this season, no relegation will take place—meaning there's no threat of dropping to the First League.

As for whether the team will continue next year… well, we'll keep that to ourselves for now.
