23/06/2025

The 19th edition of the ITTF World Para Future Series took place from June 19 to 21, 2025, at the Sareza sports hall in Ostrava. Once again, the event confirmed its significant place on the international calendar and attracted an impressive turnout. A total of 185 athletes from more than 30 countries competed in 18 men's and women's singles categories and 9 doubles events.

Among the top participants were also internationally renowned names, including multiple Paralympic champions and medalists. Fans could admire the skills of Karolina Pek from Poland, Norwegian stars Aida Dahlen and Tommy Urhaug, and Czech Paralympian Jiří Suchánek, who also served as the tournament's ambassador.

The Czech Republic had strong representation at the event. One of the biggest home successes came from Jan Muška, who secured a silver medal in the men's singles class 9. Bronze medals were won by Denisa Macurová (women's singles class 11), Jiří Suchánek (men's singles class 2), and Filip Nacházel (men's singles class 4–5).

The tournament also featured doubles competitions. All the medals in these events were awarded on Saturday, during the final day. The atmosphere throughout the three days was electric, with players, fans, and officials creating a supportive and inclusive environment.

"We're proud that this event continues to grow in quality and prestige. Organizing such a tournament requires months of preparation, and I'd like to thank all the volunteers, referees, partners, and participants," said tournament director Petr Staníček.

The tournament was organized by TJ Ostrava KST in cooperation with the Czech Table Tennis Association, the City of Ostrava, and other partners. Once again, Ostrava proved it's capable of hosting international events at a top level.

We thank all players for their participation, all partners for their support, and all referees for the smooth course of the competition. See you again next year!
