Helena Sommerová

Helena Sommerová is also a key member of the women's core team. She first picked up a paddle at the age of three in Sušice. Her father introduced her to the sport, and she trained with him until she was 12. After that, she became a member of Prague's El Niňa club. She also moved to the capital city to fully dedicate herself to table tennis.
At 17, she moved to Havířov, seeking greater opportunities to develop her game. However, she continued to play matches for Prague's Kotlářka club until the 2023/2024 season, when she transferred to our excellent club.
Her achievements include an incredible number of medals at the Czech Championships across all age groups and categories. From early on, she has been among the top Czech players in youth categories, and it is no surprise that she is also part of the core junior national team. Internationally, Helena has achieved many successes and participated in a wide range of tournaments. She has competed in events such as the Pro Tour in Spain, the European Youth Championships (EYCs) in Skopje, the European Games for women, and the prestigious European Top 10 tournament. She has earned valuable medals even at these international competitions.
Her biggest future goals include winning the title at the Czech National Championships for men and women, and in the long term, she aims to represent her country for as long as possible, deliver excellent performances in the highest Czech league, and make her mark on the European and world stages.
